I'd rather watch an anaconda regurgitate a whole hippo than rehash Thursday's loss to Ted Lily and the Jays. All I will say is that the Red Sox should make a serious attempt to trade for Lily just to avoid having to "hit" against him.

In anticipation of the weekend's four game series with the Mariners, here are four things I have learned since I moved from Boston, MA to Seattle, WA two years ago:

1) Jamie Moyer and his 80mph fastball vs Curt Schilling tonight will be the perfect cure for the Red Sox two game losing streak.

2) The Seattle Mariners have the best commercials in Major League Baseball. It's an event worthy of celebration in Seattle when the commercials are officially released each spring. My favorite of the 2006 batch is "Epidemic" which shows "ordinary Northwest citizens go about their daily tasks in the style of Ichiro." Good stuff.

3) Kenji Johjima is the Japanese equivalent of Jason Varitek.

4) Red Sox games are only televised in bars in Seattle when the Sox play the Mariners so we'll be leaving work early today to find a Happy Hour and a HDTV.

Thanks (I guess) to the Slog for the link to the gross snake video.
