Glee

(Photo from Yahoo Sports)

Forget about sushi. Linguine with pesto -- that's what was on our dinner table during Daisuke Matsuzaka's last two successful starts. It's good luck. Either that or Matsuzaka is finally on his game. One or the other.

I thought that the scathing comments made before Monday's game by Tigers manager, Jim Leyland, were a little bit uhmmm...odd. From the Detroit Free Press:
"I don't give a [expletive] about [Matsuzaka]. I'm not getting into all that. I could give a [expletive] less. It's another pitcher. We're playing Boston."
After the game:
"I was very impressed," Detroit manager Jim Leyland said of the rookie the Red Sox invested $103 million in. "He's the real deal." (Boston.com)
That's better Jim. I was very impressed too.

Tonight! Knuckleball Tim (4-3, 1.79) and his league leading ERA vs Justin Verlander (3-1, 2.83).

Go Sox!

PS. Sam over at Blue Cats and Red Sox posted a disturbing photo that keeps popping into my head at inopportune times. If I had to see it, so do you.
